About

By the hands of Kálmán Balogh and Miklós Lukács the dulcimer is reborn, their virtuoso playing reflects the exciting blend of folk music and refreshing jazz. The duo's strength radiates the stage: when Balogh elegantly handles the strings and Lukács leads, the audience is mesmerized instantly by the masterful dulcimer sound.
The dulcimer is often identified with gipsy music played in restaurants. But if we immerse in the two masters' play, we can see the instrument in a different light. Its different variants can be found on many parts of the world – while the dulcimer is indeed a real Hungarian invention.
