As a part of the Hungarian Jazz Day, Nikoletta Szőke B Version, the Budapest Ragtime Band, the Band of Gypsys AllStar, and the András Jász Kulturfunk will be performing on the Rosé, Riesling and Jazz Days stage, located at the Óváros square.

The Hungarian Jazz Federation formed the Hungarian Jazz Day in 2009, which took place at the Sziget Festival. Eighty of the biggest stars of the genre performed at this event. After the event's huge success, the organizers decided to create a tradition. In 2010, on day zero of the Festival, the Hungarian Jazz Day got its own stage, where the best local performers were accompanied by international stars. Without any exaggeration, this was a really monumental event in jazz history. In 2011, the Hungarian Jazz Day was held at the September Fest, in 2012 and 2013 the Buda Castle Wine Festival was its location. This year, the prestigious event comes closer to the rural audience, as it will be held at the VeszprémFest. Such superstars will perform with Hungarian bands as George Duke, Dennis Chambers, Dean Brown, Gary Willis, Tommy Campbell and Billy Cobham.

The Hungarian Jazz Federation, formed in 1990, aims to help the whole Hungarian jazz scene.

The VeszprémFest is the biggest rural festival regarding international jazz artists. With names like: Al Di Meola, Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, or Diana Krall, the biggest international jazz stars have performed in Veszprém in the last decade.

The VeszprémFest's goal is to make the Hungarian Jazz Day an event that represents the essence of the Hungarian jazz scene within the VeszprémFest. This year's theme is to "bring home" world famous Hungarian soloists who live abroad, and to provide an opportunity for performances that feature Hungarian jazz stars with international soloists.
